ZORBT Rotorua is the home of ZORBT globe riding. The sport of globe riding was invented in New Zealand and globes are designed, manufactured and tested there - Revolutionary! ZORBT Rotorua is the worlds first ever globe riding site and has been operating commercially since 1997, rolling hundred of thousands of satisfied customers down the hill.
Along with operating dedicated sites around the world, ZORBT has also been involved in a large number of promotional events internationally, including the Amazing Race, Coca-cola, MasterCard and the Football World Cup. Further to this, it has participated in the filming of a number of TV commercials around the world.
The ZORBT globe is an 11 foot high inflatable transparent sphere which you can ride inside. Two feet of air protect you from the ground enabling you to globe ride down hills at high speed. Operated by experienced Wranglers whose purpose is to ensure your total safety and satisfaction.
ZORBT offers two major ride variations of globe riding.
ZydroT
In the ZydroT ride we add water so you can run, tumble, flip or slide inside, as the globe hurtles downhill at speeds of up to 30 km/h. This is great on your own, or even better with up to two friends. We have cool water in summer and warm water in winter so you're not an ice cube at the bottom! For the more adventurous, try our single person Zig-Zag track - a cross between a waterfall and a roller coaster!
ZorbitT
In the ZorbitT you are safely harnessed inside the globe before being sent for a wild ride, head over heels downhill. Watch the ground and sky go spinning past at speed! Great for those who want to stay dry, although more of a physical challenge than the ZydroT.

ZORBT globe riding is located on Western Road - just off State Highway 5 to the north of Rotorua.

If wind conditions are high and Zorb cannot run, then the ride will be replaced with the Zydro - Cancellation fee applies.
